He is survived by: his children, Cassidy Swansey of Winder, GA, Durrell Swansey (Debbie) of Hoschton, GA, Jimmy Swansey of Hoschton, GA, Teresa Carter (Rodney) of Flowery Branch, GA and Joshua Swansey (Stacey) of Loganville, GA; and his siblings, Judy Clark (James) of Sugar Hill, Betty Van Garsel of Kentucky, Sara Peppers of Gainesville, GA, Linda Swansey of Flowery Branch, GA, Nancy Huskin (Herman) of Flowery Branch, GA, Douglas Swansey (Penny) of Flowery Branch, GA and Ronald Swansey of Flowery Branch, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A reception will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
