Catherine Laverne Maddox Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Laverne Maddox (Winder, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 13, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Sorrells and Catherine Miller Sorrells; her husband Marvin Maddox; and her brothers, Jimmy, William and Jerry.

She is survived by: her sons, Mike (DeeAnn) of Charlotte and Jeff (Neale) of Winder; her grandchildren, McKenzie Kays (Don), Mason, Trent and Trevor Maddox; her siblings, Tommy Sorrells (Margie) of Winder, Carolyn Perkins (Tommy) of Winder and Faye Wiley of Winder; and her sisters-in-law, Elaine Maddox and Carolyn Ferguson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

After fighting a well fought battle with Alzheimer's, she was surrounded by her loving family and friends in her final moments.
