He was predeceased by: his parents, Early Barnette and Gertrude Grizzle Barnette; his wife Jean Martin Barnette; and his brothers, Harold Barnette and Everette Barnette.
He is survived by: his children, Phil (Diane Barnette), Mike (Kathy Barnette), Lynn (Gary Stinchcomb) and Georgia; and his siblings, Charles Barnette (Georgia) of Statham and Sue Stewart of Florida, Seven. He is also survived by Seven Grandchildren and eighteen Great Grandchildren.
