He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Lee Helmly and Edna Stanton Helmly. He is survived by: his children, Dana Stanton Helmly, Jr. (Bobbie), Karen Helmly Oelschig (Kurt) and Patrick Stewart Helmly; his grandchildren, Corey, Ellison (Zach), Breann, Christian, Stella and Garrett; and his brothers, Hugh Lee Helmly, III (Margaret) and Neil Arnold Helmly (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
