He is survived by: his wife Vicki Thompson Borders; his daughters, Kim Borders McNair (Jim) and Haley Borders Brown (Andy); his daughter-in-law Melissa Logan Borders; his grandchildren, Reese, Gracie, Jacob McNair, Anderson, Bowen Brown and Ella Borders; his brothers, Mike Borders (Donna), David Borders (Sandy) and Philip Borders (Debra); and his sister-in-law Visa Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
