She is survived by: her husband Michael Purkey Sr. of Williamson; her children, Michael Purkey Jr., Sean Purkey of Calhoun, GA and Candace Purkey-Mezick (Chaz Mezick) of Denison, IA; and her brothers, James, Danny and Wayne Gipson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
