She was predeceased by: her husband Virgil William "V. W." Denton, Jr.; her parents, Lonzie Ray and Lula Ray; her siblings, Virgil Ray (Emma Lou), Vera Adams (Presley), Ellis "Buck" Ray (Lillian), Maudine Stallings (Roy) and Barbara Ann Walker; and her son-in-law Fredric Platé.
She is survived by: her children, Virgil William "Bill" Denton, III, David Allen Denton (Sandy), Lonnie Ray Denton (Sherry), Warren "Russell" Denton (Lynn), Rodney Dale Denton (Cindy) and Joy Denton Platé; her grandchildren, Tommy Denton (Tammy), Janie Leary (Eric), Jeff Denton, Ashley Denton, Christopher Denton, Melinda Denton, Dale Denton and Laura Alyssa Platé; her great grandchildren, Amanda Barton (Garrett), Brittany Denton, Jordan Denton, Alijah Denton, Joy Denton-Slaughter, Shawn Denton and Levi Denton; and her brother-in-law James Walker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
