He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Harper and Gladys Merritt Harper; his former wife Treva Lou Cruce Harper; and his son Bruce Harper. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Simmons Harper; his son David Harper (Polly Guthrie) of Willacoochee; his siblings, Sandra Carver of Barnesville, GA, Wylene Dorminey of Douglas, GA and Harold Harper of Mora, GA; his grandchildren, Amber Beard (Brad) of Waycross, GA and Allen Harper (Brandy) of Douglas, GA; and his great grandchildren, Caleb Beard, Isabella Beard, Damien Beard and Lilith Beard. He is also survived by Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
