He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Gilbert Wilson; and his daughter Brenda Hixon Tanguay. He is survived by: his wife Martha Cross Hixon; his children, Wes Hixon, Paul Hixon and Alex Hixon; his grandchildren, Megan Thomas (Stu) and Bailey Bullard (Jonathon); and also, Gary Hasty (Doris), Beverly Bowman and Clarence Bauer.
