He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles David Smedley and Rhoda Jones Smedley of Virginia; and his sister Sandra Prince. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Henson Smedley; his son David Smedley Jr. (Cheryl); his sisters, Peggy Morris (Ronnie) and Theresa Thomas; his granddaughter Sarah Smedley Hahn (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Kohl and Samuel Hahn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and treasured friends.
