He was predeceased by: his parents, F. W. Jones and Ruby Herrin Jones; his wife Alice Ferrell Jones; his siblings, Marvin Jones, James F. Jones and Peggy McElwaney; and his son-in-law Phil Eason.
He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Mashburn of Whitesburg, Donna Eason of Whitesburg and Karen Earnest of Whitesburg; his grandsons, Josh Mashburn, Daniel and Devin Mashburn; his great grandchildren, Makenzie Mashburn Lester, Jesoline Mashburn, Jace Mashburn, Josie Mashburn and Noah Knowles; his siblings, Betty Stanford, Carl Jones (Gloria), Jerry Jones (Betty), Lynda Smith (Jett) and Marzell Shadix (Jimmy); and his close friend Edna Morek.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Whitesburg Baptist Church Building Fund, 350 W. McIntosh Circle, Whitesburg, Georgia 30185, in memory of Mr. Jones.
