He was predeceased by: his parents, Harling Cecil Arrington and Coble Gosden Arrington; his wife Kathryn Arrington; his son John Arrington; and his brothers, Ray Arrington and Hayden Arrington.

He is survived by: his daughter Judy Scarborough (Carl) of Bremen, GA; his sister Anna Stephens of Ranburne, AL; his grandchildren, Xavier Scarborough, Tyler Scarborough, Andrew Arrington and Katelyn Arrington; and his cousins, Wyatt Arrington and Haylie Arrington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

“Buster was more than just a friend to me he was a "Brother from a different Mother". I looked up to Buster from the moment I met him, he was the smartest guy I had ever known. If he wanted something or needed something unique he'd build it. He was not afraid of hard work! Buster and I hunted together, worked together and truly enjoyed each others company, of course Buster did most of the talking. I have known this man and his family most of my life and I Love them all.”
