He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hollis Thompson and Frances Eloise Jones Fincher. He is survived by: his wife Linda Diane Buchanan Thompson; his grandson Kyle Ridgeway; his children, Shane Partlaw of Whitesburg, Georgia and Tiffany; his son-in-law Garry Stunkard of Whitesburg, Georgia; his sister Sherry; his brother-in-law Chuck Goodson of Florida; his half-sisters, Susan Minix (Winford) of Newnan and Cindy Ford of Whitesburg, Georgia; and his nieces and nephews, Chip Goodson, Emily Goodson and Trent Goodson.
