He is survived by: his wife Carleene Lowe Allen; his children, Melanie Nicholson (Jeff) and David Allen, Jr.; his grandchildren, Grant Nicholson, Erin and Ashton Allen; his brother-in-law Jimmy Lowe; his niece Cindy Lowe Niles; his great-nephews, Peter Niles and Jason Niles; his great-niece Christy Mulroney; and his cousin Tim Barber.
