He was predeceased by: his parents, Collin Mitchell Barton and Emma Barton; his daughter Bernice E. Barton; his wife Ione Bennett-Barton; and his sisters, Nancy Blin Barton and Peggy Louise Thurman.
He is survived by: his daughter Frances Ernestine Williams; his son-in-law Michael Gene Williams; his sister-in-law Tina McClure; his nieces, Lisa McClure Hice and Mary Jane McDaniel (Edward); and his friend Jean Satterfield.
