He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilton Murphy Poole, Sr and Geraldine Bowen Poole; and his stepson Jackie Peters. He is survived by: his wife Sue Poole; his children, Darlene Poole, Nissy Poole and Kimberly Poole; his stepsons, Tim Peters (Johnnie) and Tyler Peters (Pricilla); his siblings, Murphy Poole (Sherry) and Marian Craig (Albert); and his siblings-in-law, Katie May (Mike) and Roger Dye. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and several aunts, uncle, nieces, and nephews.
