It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Earl Edwards of Whigham, Georgia, born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, who passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurston Eugene Edwards and Odessa Smythia; and his brothers, Thurston Edwards Jr. and Michael Edwards. He is survived by: his fiancée Kathy Shiver; his children, Ashley Edwards Jarvis (Matt) of Tallahassee and Sterling Edwards of Cairo; his grandchildren, Caiden Edwards, Gracie Edwards and Camden Edwards; his brothers, Raymond Edwards of Tallahassee and Eddie Edwards of Cozumel; and his former wives, Karen Edwards and Pamela Butler Edwards. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
