He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cassels and Marion Newkirk Cassels; and his brothers, James "Jimmie" Chason Cassels and Scott Cassels. He is survived by: his children, Kaitlin Cassels Johnson (Chris) of Tallahassee, Samuel Newkirk Cassels of Whigham, Lauren Kelley Cassels of Atlanta and Mallory Anselme of German Valley, IL; his brother Tom Allen Cassels (Leizl) of Tallahassee; his nephew Luke Cassels of Tallahassee; and also Kelley Cassels of Whigham. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
