He was predeceased by: his parents, Flemmie Birkins and Pauline Beal. He is survived by: his wife Eldie Lee Birkins; his children, Juanita Jordan, Mark V. Birkins, James E Birkins Jr. of Miami, FL, Penny Birkins Herring (Steve) and Eddie Birkins (Chriette) of Daytona, OH; his siblings, Clara (English), Betty McDugle (Alex) of Miami, Margaret Fulton, Doris Todd of Tampa, FL, Teretha Tribett and Flemmie Birkins Jr. of Tampa; his sister-in-law Carrie Johnson of Calvary, GA; and his son Gregory Gerald Sr.. He is also survived by 11 Grandkids and 5 Great Grand kids.
