He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Goodwin and Nellie Goodwin of Valley; his brother Lamar Goodwin (Ann) of Valley; his brothers-in-law, James M. Jones (Tony) of LaGrange, GA and Emory L. Milner of Ladonia, AL; and his parents-in-law, Eldora S. Schofell of Valley and Charlie B. Milner of Valley.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Milner Goodwin; his sons, W. L. Goodwin Jr. (Dottie) of Auburn, Chuck Goodwin (Angela) of Valley and Phil Goodwin (Wendy) of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Matt McCune (Kim), Candace Yarbrough (Travis), Carmen Scroggins (Josh), Carter Goodwin and Charlie Goodwin; his great grandchildren, Hanley Grace and Jackson Owen Yarbrough; and his sisters, Carolyn Jones and Jeanette Goodwin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
