It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Jackson Jr. (West Point, Georgia), who passed away on June 17, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father George Jackson Sr.; his wife Mattie Pearl Glaze Jackson; his mother Annie L. Jackson; his siblings, Willie Jean Wright, Corliss Shell, A. C. Jackson, John W. Jackson, Robert Jackson and Arthur Richard Jackson; and his grandson Demarius "Bud" Patrick.
He is survived by: his children, George Jackson (Renia), Polly Ross (Johnny), John Jackson (Janice), Spencer Jackson (Neressa) and Michael Jackson; and his siblings, Lillie Pearl Walker, Annie Ree Dixon, Zannie Hill, Valarie Lancaster (Gerald), Roger Jackson (Johnnie) and Robert Shell. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
