It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Holzschuh of West Point, Georgia, born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Robert William and Rose Mary Maxwell; and her husband Bruce Paul Holzschuh. She is survived by: her children, Richard James, Robert John and Patricia "Patty" Turner (David); her grandchildren, Bruce Henry Crosby, Thomas Maxwell Crosby, Kristin Marie Schumann and Victoria Elizabeth Boyle; and her great grandchildren, Ella Marie, John Finley Schumann, Austin Steven and Colton John Boyle.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to some of Emily's favorite causes; EAMC Lanier, First United Methodist Church of West Point, and literacy education.

“Seldom in life do you meet a person of such kindness and integrity as Emily. Having been married to Patty for 20 years and known Bruce and Emily since 1989, she always treated me as her own son. I knew her as my second Mom. Emily always made my favorite dish on Thanksgiving, a special broccoli casserole, she did it for me knowing how much I loved it. Emily was indeed a special person, philanthropic, loving, patient, forgiving and kind. We all lost a bright light in our lives. With love Larry”
