He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Sue Davis McCarthy. He is survived by: his friend Mary Ann Mize of Lanett Ala; his son Dickie McCarthy; his daughter-in-law Martha Lee McCarthy of Sewanee, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Daniel McCarthy (Amanda) of Mobile, Ala. and Kelli Camp (Harrison) of Sewanee, Tenn.; his brother Scotty McCarthy (Cheryl) of Tyrone; and his great grandchildren, Drew McCarthy, Ella McCarthy, Lily Camp, Hannah McCarthy, Sadie Camp and Suzanna Camp.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chancel Choir at the West Point First United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice.
