He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Hale and Mavis Patterson Hale. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Godfrey Hale; his sons, Jeff Hale (Renée) of Lansing and Scott Hale (Jill); his grandchildren, Nathan Hale (Amber), Stephen Hale (Ruth), Mark Hale and Laura Anglin (Casey); his stepgrandchildren, Holeigh Daniel (Walter) and Pax Herrin (Julia); his brother Jimmy Hale; and his great grandchildren, Jensen, Selah, Gwyneth, Brooks, Baylor, Malachi, Kaylee and Evie.
