It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Slaughter Hodo (West Point, Georgia), who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father David Dixon Mckenzie-McQueen; her siblings, Annie, David Dixon McKenzie, Jr. and Wendell Mckenzie; her aunt Christine Wilson; and her friend Jerolyn Johnson.
She is survived by: her mother Annie Slaughter of Virginia; her husband Willie C. Hodo of LaGrange; her children, Harold Lamon Slaughter, Fresheta Slaughter and Keomeshia Brooks (Timothy); her grandchildren, Zor'Torian Slaughter, Markhyus Slaughter, Damarcion Slaughter and Trakireya Slaughter; her siblings, Vivian Jones McKenzie, Sandra (Tyrice Humphrey), Amanda McQueen, James Brown, Rev. Michael Slaughter (Julia) and Bruce Slaughter (Clarissa); her aunts and uncles, Dorothy Jean Edwards, Jacquelyn Ford (Alfred), Homer Newton (Linda), Pal Newton and Carey Newton; and her close friend Gail Murphy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and her interface co-workers.
