She was predeceased by: her parents, Lois Golden McKinney and Roy H. McKinney; and her brother LoRoy J. McKinney. She is survived by: her husband Hunter B. Searcy.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda's family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Lanett in her memory.
