She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bartow Wilson and Estelle Hersey Wilson; her husband James Carter; and her siblings, Shirley Pritchard, Ruth Wilson, Ed Wilson and Joseph Wilson.

She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Griffin Porter (Davina) of Douglas, GA and James C. Porter (Marie) of Douglas, GA; and her siblings, Margie Harrell of Douglas, GA, Darrell Wilson of Waycross, GA, Steve Wilson of Waycross, GA, Earl Wilson of Brunswick, GA and Carlos Wilson of Douglas, GA. She is also survived by Seven Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews.
