He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Skipper and Nellie Maybelle Sellers Skipper; his wife Annette Dowling Skipper; and his siblings, Jimmy Skipper and Willie Mae Helms.
He is survived by: his children, William (Sandy Skipper), Greg (Darla Skipper), Cindy Smith and Sherry (Rocky Dixon); his sister-in-law Linda Skipper of South Carolina; his sisters, Edith (Vernon Black) of South Carolina and Tammy Cobb of South Carolina; and his close friend Sylvia Gibbs of Waynesville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a brother.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private graveside service Thursday (April 16, 2020) at Smyrna Cemetery.
