It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Carter of Waynesville, Georgia, born in Carnesville, Georgia, who passed away on June 25, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Carter and Hubert Carter; his former wife Macie McFarlin Carter; his wife Allie Skipper Carter; his sister Geneva Moore; his brother-in-law Robert Phillips; and his son Daniel Carter (Brenda) of Silvester.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kay Bare (Kelly) of Waynesville, Georgia and Joy Fernando (Rod) of Toccoa; his stepdaughter Kathy Sikes (Donnie) of Darrien; his grandchildren, Brittany Smith (Chad), Dani Duane (Josh), Allyson Carter, Hannah Goodbar (Joshua), Kelley Ann Rooks (Kevin), Lacie Bell (Jake) and Hillarie Fernando; his great grandchildren, Eli, Rylee, Hailey, Kaelyn, Finley, Lucas, Hayley, Annabelle, Jonah, Caroline and Allie; his siblings, Darwin Carter (Ondeen) of Toccoa and Judy Phillips of Royston; his parents-in-law, Wallace Bare (Wanda), Mary Jackson (David) and Ernistine Skipper; his friend Janice Patterson; his great grandchild Elijah Patterson; his half-brother Jerry Carter of Greenville; his siblings-in-law, Suzanne Payne, Becky Savage, Sammy McFarlin (Brenda) and Titus McFarlin; and also, Sarah and Hardee.
