He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rooks and Daisy Mae Taylor Rooks; and his siblings, Johnnie Rooks and Ruthie Nix. He is survived by: his daughter Misty; his son-in-law William Butler of Jesup; his grandchildren, Nichole Miller (Chad), C. J. Rooks, Dwayne Spradley and Christopher Milton; his great grandchildren, Skyler Rooks and Felictey Rooks; his siblings, Frank Carter of Brunswick and Elta Mae Wilson of Waynesville; and his nieces, Lesia Grogg of Hortense and Shelia Gunterburg of Fort Walton.
