It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayton Vaughn Smith (Waynesville, Georgia), born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Dale Smith, Sr. and Jeynell Vaughn Rollins. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Smith of Waynesville; his children, Magen Byrd (Brad) of Hortense, Mike Smith (Ashley) of Waynesville and Patrick Smith (Kasey) of Brunswick; his grandchildren, Rylen, Noah Smith, Braylen, Chandler Byrd, Kaleb, Johnny Smith and Ramsee Jade "Princess" Smith; and his brothers, Mike Smith (Vicki) of Waynesville and Ken Smith (Gayle) of Etowah, TN. He is also survived by one niece and several nephews.
