We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2021, at the age of 81, Chestene L. Rooks of Waynesville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert Rooks, Sr. and Alma Lyle Rooks; and his sisters, Loretta Brockington of Waynesville, Willie Mae Johnson of Waynesville and Liz Butler (Harrel) of Waynesville.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Cox Rooks of Waynesville; his children, Chris "C. J." and Ann Asbell (Tyler) of Waynesville; his stepdaughter Misty Butler (William) of Jesup, GA.; his grandchildren, Skylar Rooks, Landyn Asbell, Falicity Rooks and Maebree Asbell; and his nephews, Alex Hall of Brunswick and Robert Hall of Waynesville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service.
