He is survived by: his close friend Cynthia Hargrove of Waynesville; his children, Kyle Lair (Jennifer) and Lonnie Carpenter (Steven); his stepdaughters, Brandy Hopkins (John) of Brunswick and April Boatright of Waynesville; his grandchildren, Charels Lair, Bentley Carpenter, Holli Carpenter, Chloe Carpenter and Emily Fountain; and his sisters, Nina Kaufman and Lori Simmons.
