He is survived by: his children, Robert H. "Hal" McKinney (Rodney Spruell) of Cumming, GA, Mechelle Newsome of Waynesboro and Michael McKinney (Lisa) of Waynesboro; his sister Brenda Layman (Kirby) of Kansas City, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Harvard, Whitney Taylor, Trey Taylor, Haley Smith, Chasie Sikes, Jake Brown, Lauren McKinney, Elizabeth Milner, Joseph Brown and Morgan White. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
