It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Anderson Tapley Jr. of Waynesboro, Georgia, who passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Debra Faye Finch. He is survived by: his father Richard Tapley, Sr. of Swainsboro; his children, Shaun Tapley of Metter, Jesse Tapley of Jamesville, NC, Issac Tapley of Jamesville, NC and MaKynna Tapley of Warner Robins; his brothers, Michael Tapley (Dinesa) of Metter, Dwain Gray of Statesboro and Chris Tapley of Swainsboro; his granddaughter Everzyn Hernandez; his nieces, Courtney Rea (Oswaldo) and Hayley Taylor (Ashleigh); his aunt Brenda Finch Thomas (Bob); and his great-aunt Betty White. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at the Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (Soperton, GA 30457).
