With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rene Thompson Pelles of Waynesboro, Georgia, born in Tampa, Florida, who passed away on September 27, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rene may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wall Tatnall Thompson III and Lidie Nesbitt Thompon of Waynesboro, Georgia.. She is survived by: her sons, Eugene J. McManus III, Peyton M. McManus and Porter T. McManus; her grandchildren, Porter M. McManus, Emerson R. McManus and Peyton E. McManus; and her siblings, Wall T. Thompson IV and Anna M. Thompson.
