He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Brookins and Bonnie Hawkins Brookins; and his sisters, Eloise Fries and Jewel Banks. He is survived by: his wife Rose Brookins; his children, Wade Brookins (Karla) of Waynesboro, Sharon Sigafoes (Ron) of Augusta, Kathy Brown (David) of Waynesboro, Johnny Brookins (Sherryl) of Waynesboro, Donna Herndon of Sardis and Michael Spencer (Christi) of Waynesboro; and his sister Frankie Taylor of Waynesboro. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
