She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Barefield and Evelyn Barefield; her husband Durwood Hayes; and her siblings, Al Barefield and Gladys Stone.
She is survived by: her sons, Woody Hayes (Sarah) of Waynesboro and Randy Hayes (Debbie) of Thomson; and her siblings, Jimmie Barefield (Sally) of Waynesboro, Johnny Barefield (Sherrie) of Waynesboro and Elizabeth Gossett (Scott) of Waynesboro. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
