With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James H. Pountain Sr. (Waynesboro, Georgia), born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Pountain and Beulah Pountain; and his brother Jerry H. Pountain. He is survived by: his children, Jinovanna L. Gambrell of Waynesboro and James H. Pountain Jr. of Clinton, SC; and his siblings, Jack L. Pountain Jr. of Transverse, MI and Judy Pountain of Kalamazoo, MI. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
