She is survived by: her son Mims Bentley Hillis, Jr. (Tannis); and her grandchildren, Mary Kennemer Hillis Lott (Jacob), Mims Bentley Hillis III and Elyson Scarlett Hillis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
