She was predeceased by: her parents, William Herbert Mills, Sr. and Claudine Tolbert Mills; her husband Marvin Saxon; her sister Malona Dixon; and her son-in-law Rickie Blackburn.

She is survived by: her children, John Thomas, Jeanie Saxon Blackburn and Robert Marvin "Rob" Saxon, Jr. (Macon); her brother William Herbert "Bill" Mills, Jr. (Joan); her grandchildren, Jason Blackburn (Caroline), Ben Blackburn (Leigh) and Jan Mobley (Brad); and her great grandchildren, Sadie Chance, John Luke Chance, Mills Blackburn, Carson Blackburn and Bennett Blackburn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro Children's Ministries or the Community Betterment Council (P.O. Box 682 Waynesboro, GA 30830).
