It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Celia Arellano Tavares (Waynesboro, Georgia), who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Celia Arellano may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Celia Arellano touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her children, Cristina Rodriguez, Samuel Rangel and Aracely Rangel; and her siblings, Genoveva Arellano, Tiburcio Arellano, Ofelia Arellano, Jose Arellano, Alicia Arellano, Antioco Arellano and Rigoberto Arellano. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home & Cremation Service (220 E 6th St, Waynesboro, GA 30830). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (115 S Liberty St, Waynesboro, GA 30830). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Burke Memorial Gardens (Waynesboro, GA 30830).
