He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Matthew Hughes and Nora Jane Clark Davis; and his siblings, Tammy Jo Bullard (Deianna) of Bristol, Linda Gail Hughes, Sarah Hughes and Columbus Michael Bullard.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Hughes of Waycross; his children, William Christopher Hughes (Christina Beverly) of Waycross and Ashley Leann Herman (Greg) of Patterson; his grandchildren, Cassie Hughes, Abigail Hughes, Reagan Hughes, Dean Hughes, Rodney Williams, Jr. and Waylon Herman; and his siblings, Aline Leggett (Donnie Cox) of Patterson, Faye McCollum of Alma, Gloria Charette of Hazlehurst, Diane Boatright of Mershon, Mildred Mixon (Bobby), Homerville, Betty Colamaio (Dan) of San Francisco, CA and Alvin Hughes of Baxley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
