He was predeceased by: his parents, William Moody Denton (Bill) and Mabel Clare Strickland Denton; and his sister-in-law Delores Taylor. He is survived by: his daughter Lora Denton Lord (Alan); his grandchildren, Olivia Claire Denton, Anna Katherine Lord, Elizabeth Mae Denton, Denton Alan Lord and William David Denton; his brother Thomas Denton; his cousin Debra Denton (Terry); his daughter-in-law Janet Gatewood; his stepgranddaughter Celia Sue Blackaby; and his siblings, Z. A., Sue, Buddy Lee, Becky, Sam Wylie and Leslie. He is also survived by his wife's brothers and sisters.
