It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Strickland of Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Strickland and Amy Lee Henderson Strickland; his brother Jackie Strickland; and his grandson Ke'Juan Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Janice Strickland of Waycross; his children, Tammy Vanderbloom of Blackshear, Jessica Strickland of Blackshear, Jackie L. Brinson of Waycross and Rebecca "Becky" Brinson of Waycross; his stepson Charles Roberson, Jr. of Waycross; his grandchildren, Makenzie Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Natasha Anderson, Jasmine Anderson, Jawuan "JJ" Anderson and Damien Brinson; and his siblings, Johnnie Strickland (Betty) of Callahan, Freddie Strickland (Joan) of Colorado Springs, Randy Strickland (Nancy) of Folkston and Amy Lynn Sanders (Richard) of Blackshear. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
