He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Canipe and Ruby Lail Canipe. He is survived by: his wife Donna Wolfe Canipe of Waycross; his sons, Eric Stokes of Waycross, Mark Stokes of Waycross and Jason Stokes (Marlene) of Troy, NC; his grandchildren, Aby, Emma, Sophia, Michael and Julian; and his brothers, Tony Canipe of Orange Park, FL and Tommy Canipe of Hickory, NC..
