She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Bo Lucas and Violet Mosley Lucas; her daughter Tammy Jeanette Thigpen; and her siblings, Eddie Aldridge and Tonya Cason.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Thigpen of Waycross; her daughter Rachel Arlene Thigpen Dunaway; her grandchildren, Austin Wesley Bailey and Allie Jeanette Dunaway; and her sister Cherry Jewell (J. H.). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
