He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert David Lucas, Sr. and Sadie Rowell Lucas; his son Michael Dennis Franken; and his siblings, Wanda Lucas Aspinwall and Robert David "Bobby" Lucas, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mullis Lucas of Waycross; his son Gregory Franken (Donna) of Alma; his granddaughter Wendy Johnson (Jacob); and his siblings, Atha Marie Lucas of Waycross, Mamie Katherine Lucas of Waycross and Louis Frederick Lucas (Jean) of Waycross. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
