It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Sears Musgrove (Waycross, Georgia), who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Spikes and Nellie Wilson Spikes; her former husband Rev. Richard Sears; her siblings, Clara Moore, Sarah Downing, Mary O'Berry, J. D. Spikes, Bill Spikes, Harvey Spikes, Bobby Spikes, Jimmy Spikes and Jesse Spikes; and her stepdaughter Leslie Thornburg.
She is survived by: her husband J. V. Musgrove of Waycross; her children, Kenny Sears of Waycross, David Sears of Waycross and Diane Morgan (Robert) of Blackshear; her stepson Brandon Musgrove (Amy) of Waycross; her grandchildren, Richard Morgan (Hannah) of Blackshear, Coty Morgan (Jennifer) of Waycross and John Sears of Waycross; and her great grandchild Luke Morgan of Waycross. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will begin receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 p. m. All attendees are recommended to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
