She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Hammond and Eldie Holtzclaw Hammond; her husband Lee Grant Pirkle; her children, Dolores Pirkle Stipe, Lisa Darlene Pirkle and Marcus Allen Pirkle; and her siblings, Cleburn Hammond, Robert Hammond, Hugh Hammond, Steve Hammond, Vileeaze Butterworth, Barbara Milford and Patricia Francis.
She is survived by: her children, Philip Pirkle (Sharon) of Thomson, GA, Denise Pirkle Bennett of Waycross, GA, Thomas Pirkle (Jodi) of Valdosta, GA and John Pirkle (Tammy) of Waycross; her grandchildren, Brad (Natalie Pirkle), Amy (Jamey Grimes), Sara Pirkle, Jenny Pirkle, Andrew (Stephanie Bennett), Timothy (Alex Bennett), Amanda (Andrew Blaylock), Steven (Christine Stipe), Grant Pirkle, Callie Pirkle, Joey (Sunni Morgan), Jessica (Brantley Crews) and Amaris (Hunter Cox); and her siblings, Jim Hammond (Jean) of Gainesville, GA, Kenneth Hammond (Wanoga) of Indiana, Mary Pirkle (Donald) of Cumming, GA and Diane Buice of Dahlonega, GA. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
